Share

Tongues one of the most important things a Christian can have yet so fought over not by non-Christians but by Christians who fight to make people believe it is not for them. Tongues is a MAJOR tool, weapon and BLESSING to live a victorious life. The tongue was a deadly thing full of poison that is what the book of James says, yet now as NEW Covenant Christian TONGUES has become NEW weapon (see Eph 6). Our tongue speaking in English can change the world. Tongues a language between our spirit and the Holy Spirit without OUR limited knowledge is prayer and power based on FAITH and the Holy Spirit. What a tool what a weapon. I pray as you listen to today’s blog and go to my site and listen to other many teaching I have on tongues you are set free to walk in the power of Tongues.

    There is nothing in Ephesians 6 about tongues being a weapon. Tongues have ceased. Paul penned these words under the direction of the ascended Lord Jesus Christ who is my Saviour. “8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” (1 Corinthians 13:8 KJV) If someone is telling you that they haven’t ceased, it isn’t Christ. We don’t need tongues as a sign because only the Jews sought a sign. “22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:” (1 Corinthians 1:22 KJV) Grace and peace be to you

      Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:13.
      For tongues to cease then NO person should be able to speak in tongues. I speak in tongues so it still is here. Another things “whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away” KNOWLEDGE has NOT vanished away…. neither has tongues. Mat16:17 And these SIGNSshall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; YUP says it right there.

        Tongues have ceased according to scripture. The whole armour of God has nothing to do with speaking in tongues. Jesus wasn’t talking to you in the Old Testament, He was talking to the Jewish people, the Nation of Israel that He was sent to. “24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24 KJV) Have you cast out any devils recently? I’m going to guess that you haven’t. Today our Saviour does not tell us to walk by signs. Jesus tells us to walk by faith. “7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV)

          Mat16:17 And these SIGNS shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; YES I do speak in tongues yes I have cast out devils and healed the sick in Jesus name. IT is all one sentence and for us all and for today. TONGUES is a powerful too. I do not want to point out to you all the scriptures on tongues but if you are sincerely interested check out my blog on tongues. However if you just want to prove me wrong you are wasting my time, it is to late I have been speaking in tongues for years and it is awesome. I hope someday you receive Him and enjoy the deep things of God.

            I already have Christ as my Saviour. The audience in the book of Matthew is Jewish, this means those promises are not for non-Jewish people. If you could point 1 passage or chapter out of The Bible as the Gospel of your Salvation, what would it be?

            1. (Rom 10:9) if you CONFESS Lord Jesus and believe in
            your heart He has been raised from the dead YOU SHALL BE SAVED. NO other qualifications.

            2. WHOEVER CALLS on the name of the Lord will be SAVED. (Rom 10:13) NO other qualifications

            3. We are made right by Jesus’ OBEDIENCE not our obedience. (Rom 5:19) by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteousness (Right with God).

            4. Today salvation (Jesus) has come to your house (Lk 19:9).

            Much more

          3. Michael T. McVay Jr.

            The Gospel which saves us today was only revealed to Paul.

            “1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

            2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

            3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

            4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV) The audience Paul is talking to in Romans 9, 10 and 11 is not The Body of Christ, it’s Israel.

            Romans 5:19 would be a good verse to use with 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 in explaining The Gospel.

          4. revrobin

            The gospel is that Jesus paid the price for our lifetime of sins so we could have a relationship with our Father now and after we die. We receive this FREE GIFT by faith. ALL people receive this gift by faith. It is not just to the Romans, it is the same gospel to all people.
